In order to compete with the O2 Joggler, T-Mobile has snapped up the Android Vega for the UK market, it emerged last week.

The Vega, as with the Joggler, is designed to be a hub of family life and organisation, but it is considerably more advanced than O2's product.

Reminders, a calendar and various other tools for making life easier will feature prominently in the Vega.

Manufacturer ICD has included an NVIDIA graphics processor which allows for full HD 1080p video playback on the slim panel Vega and with a Wi-Fi or 3G data service available, the table top tablet can make and receive phone calls as well as SMS texts.

T-Mobile has not yet announced its plans for pricing, or indeed when it will begin to offer the Vega to customers.

It is likely that the Vega will be bundled with a pay monthly tariff and families in which all members are loyal to a single provider will be able to make the most out of its features.
