Research in Motion's (RIM) follow-up to its first touchscreen mobile phone is going to make an appearance on contracts from both O2 and T-Mobile in the spring of 2010 according to recent reports.
T-Mobile will begin stocking the Storm 2 from some point in February, although it did not say for how much it would retail or even provide a specific date for its release.
O2 has made a similarly cautious announcement, which says little more than it will soon be offering the Storm 2 on a monthly contract, with no word as to pricing or a release date.
After RIM failed to impress with the Original Storm back in 2008, many have seen the Storm 2 as a significant improvement and proof that a touchscreen BlackBerry can work.
Vodafone was the first of the UK networks to offer the Storm 2 on contract and with its unique clickable capacitive touchscreen and range of connectivity options it is a progressive choice for businesspeople.
