The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is now available on O2, along with T-Mobile and Vodafone.

Android smartphone fans can pick up the Xperia X10 for free from £30 per month when they sign up for a 24-month contract deal. This includes 600 monthly call minutes and unlimited texts.

Launched this week, the X10 is the debut Sony Ericsson mobile to feature Google’s Android operating system and packs the latest 2.1 edition of the software as well as a selection of pre-installed Google apps, such as YouTube and Facebook.

Buyers can also choose from over 30,000 games and more practical apps available to download from the Android Market online software store.

Other features of the camera focused handset include an eight megapixel snapper with image stablisation and face and smile detection technology, an expansive four-inch touchscreen for enjoying media on the go and 32GB of expandable memory for storing music, photos and videos.

T-Mobile and Vodafone Xperia X10 deals which include a free phone start at £35 per month. Sony Ericsson’s other key handset launch for this year is the Vivaz, which features Nokia’s Symbian operating system as well as an eight megapixel camera and HD video recording.
