Street Fighter IV on the iPhone is getting its price reduced for a limited period, as developer Capcom promotes the launch of Super Street Fighter IV on home consoles.

Today is the last day of the sale, with about 30 per cent being sliced off the normal £6.99 price tag, bringing it down to just £3.99.

The Street Fighter IV iPhone game has been a critical and commercial success since launching earlier in the year and has been a regular feature on the best-selling iPhone games list.

People who already own the iPhone version of Street Fighter will be pleased to hear that Capcom is planning to add to the existing roster of characters via a free update. Fan favourite Cammy will be making her way to the iPhone in the near future.

Super Street Fighter IV, which brings in a range of new characters, arenas and game modes, will be available in the UK from Friday this week and iPhone owners can get the bargain Capcom classic from the App Store right now.

Sorry, but Street Fighter just doesn't work without a physical joystick. It's selling on the iPhone on name alone. Anyone that says different needs a thousand-hand slap.
