Eva Longoria of Desperate Housewives fame and Victoria Beckham vamp it up in a new promo spot for LG mobile phones.

The advert follows the established formula for star-endorsed products, essentially showing the girls having a good time together whilst the LG mobiles slide into shot from time to time.

The phones are clearly aimed at the fashion conscious, as Victoria is styling Eva and is actually sporting a couple of dresses which come from her own fashion label. The tag line is 'Friends. Fashion. Fabulous.'

The two phones in the advert are the LG Lotus Elite and Rumour Touch, with Victoria holding the former whilst Eva plays with the latter.

For the fashion fan the actual capabilities of the two phones will matter less than the fact that they are being fawned over by a couple of style icons, but for those interested in the technology, the Rumour Touch is a full QWERTY slider with a touchscreen interface, whilst the Lotus Elite is a square flip phone with a snazzy red shell.

    If anything is less likely to make me buy a phone it's the endorsement of Vicky 'vacuous' Beckham.
