A new web page on the Orange site confirms that the Samsung Galaxy Apollo is set to be the latest in a growing list of Android-based mobiles to arrive in the UK from the South Korean manufacturer.

The Galaxy Apollo i5810 sports a 3.2 inch touchscreen, a three megapixel digital camera, integrated Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity and support for microSD memory cards.

Keen-eyed tech fans have suggested that Samsung appears to have taken its M100S, which is available in Korea with an integrated digital TV tuner and stripped out this functionality before rebranding it and adding it to the Galaxy range of Android smartphones for a UK launch.

Samsung has also performed its usual trick of modifying the standard Android interface with its own software and it will be joining Orange's smartphone line up in the near future.

For high end Android thrills, Vodafone has the Samsung Galaxy S on its books, which costs more than the mid range Galaxy Apollo, but could tempt users looking for a more bespoke experience.

Is anyone keeping track of all these Galaxy phones? They're like tribbles. Every time you look around there's another cheap Galaxy-branded Android phone there.
