Samsung is harnessing Twitter to find iPhone 4 owners who are unhappy with Apple's new mobile to give them a free Galaxy S as consolation for the reception problems suffered by Apple's latest smartphones.

Samsung stated: "We decided to contact a cross-section of individuals to offer them a free Samsung Galaxy S as a replacement, as we're confident that once people have the phone in their hands, they'll see how impressive it is for themselves."

The Galaxy S is the South Korean manufacturer's flagship Android phone and packs in a four-inch Super AMOLED screen, a powerful processor and a skinned version of the Android operating system.

Other features include a choice of tens of thousands of apps from the Android Market online software store, Swype technology for an improved and altogether more accurate touchscreen typing experience and a five megapixel camera.

This is funny. It'll cost Samsung pennies and it's already being covered everywhere. Better than a free bumper anyway.
