The HTC Desire HD and the HTC Desire Z are revealed as the latest smartphones from the Taiwanese firm after screenshots showing a Vodafone stock list were leaked.

The screenshots, which originated from the German arm of Vodafone, seem to suggest the smartphones may be approaching a full-scale rollout.

They also reveal that a special new version of the original HTC Desire, which reportedly scraps the AMOLED display in favour of a Super LCD is being prepped for imminent release.

The Desire HD is said to sport a 4.3-inch display, along with an eight-megapixel camera. It will run Android 2.2 powered by a 1GHz processor that has become a standard feature in the current crop of Android smartphones.

The Desire Z is likely to be targeted at business users with its emailing and messaging capabilities. It features a full slide-out QWERTY keypad in a setup similar to the original Desire.

Interestingly, The Desire HD is also listed as the HTC Ace, while the Desire Z gets the pseudonym of the HTC Vision, which could most likely be the names given to them once they hit the market.

HTC remains tight-lipped over the handsets, with no official hardware specs available, let alone release dates.
