O2 is following in the footsteps of Tesco Mobile, Orange and Vodafone to announce that the iPhone 4 will be available on its Pay As You Go tariff.

For a flat price of £495 you can snap up the 16GB version of Apple's latest smartphone, and for an extra £100 you can pick up the top-end 32GB edition.

Additionally, you will receive 500MB of free data and 300 inclusive texts as part of this bundle, provided that you top up by £10 per month.

Although O2 has not gone as far as Orange and Vodafone in providing free access to Wi-Fi hotspots as well, it has not ruled out the inclusion of this eye-catching offer in a future deal.

All the providers to have so far announced the sale of iPhone 4 on Pay As You Go tariffs have had to deal with high demand and dwindling stock, with Tesco Mobile completely sold out of the contract-free version of the smartphone.
