Blackberry Torch 9800

The BlackBerry Torch may not have a concrete release date yet, but it appears that UK price plans for the upcoming handset have already been leaked online.

The website BlackBerry Leaks claims to be in possession of what looks like a Vodafone pricing sheet. It shows the various monthly subscription plans the network is likely to offer when the Torch is released, with 18-month contracts ranging from £20 to £40 per month and a two-year contract from just £15 per month.

The handset itself will cost between £49 and £399, with higher tier price plans likely to subsidise that amount completely.

The Torch is the first ever slide-out handset from Research In Motion and also the first to include the revamped BlackBerry operating system, OS 6, as the Canadian smartphone giant rallies to recover ground lost to the advances of the iPhone and Android.

No one was having the Torch in the states. Why should it be any different over here? BlackBerry SRSLY needs to rethink what it's about. £40 per month? You're JOKING, mate.

I would consider a handset but not at that price. £30 a month and a free handset I might consider it.
