Nokia’s C3 Touch and Type handset may be hitting UK store shelves as early as next month.
For the first time since its unveiling at the Nokia World expo earlier this month, the C3 has popped up on Nokia’s UK website, which generally tend to happen before an imminent release.
Nokia is already bringing out its new flagship smartphone, the N8, in October. So a slightly budget-priced release around the same time aimed at the masses makes sense.
The C3 Touch and Type is a candybar-shaped kit that combines a 2.4-inch touchscreen with a traditional physical keyboard. While that may sound quite basic, it also packs top-end features including a five-megapixel camera with flash, a WebKit browser, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, VoIP with HD Voice, a microSD slot expandable up to 32GB and ‘USB On-the-go’, which enables the phone to act as a plug n’ play media drive.
Although pricing details have not been confirmed, the C3 is expected to cost around £120, making it a very reasonable option for entry-level buyers.
