Rumours are abound that next, next major iteration of Google’s Android operating system, version 3.0, AKA Honeycomb, will be out first on a seven-inch Motorola tablet.
That's according to a tweet from the usually reliable tech hounds at Mobile-Review, which simply states: “Google choose MOTOPAD as a first device to show Android 3.0 - 7 inch version”.
While we are certainly keen to see a Motorola tablet, we are especially intrigued knowing that Android 3.0 may be onboard, as Google itself has previously admitted its smartphone operating system was not scaled for tablet implementation.
Honeycomb is being widely touted as critical to the search giant's efforts to improve the Android experience on the raft of tablets set to hit the market next year.
Unfortunately, there’s not a great deal of information concerning exactly what features will be included in the update, but we will bring you all the details as soon as they become available.
