A special, free to download Christmas-themed version of Cut the Rope is set to land on iOS devices imminently, developer Chillingo has revealed.

The standalone title, dubbed Cut the Rope: Holiday Edition, is completely free to download and offers 25 rather spiffy new levels to get through, each of which, as you'd kinda expect, incorporates seasonal backdrops and music.
And there’s a quite lid-erally game-changing new gameplay feature to get to grips with too, in the form of Christmas stockings that are imbued with magical powers of teleportation.
Best of all, though, is that the title will be completely free to download, even if you’re not one of the three million or so gamers who’ve grabbed the original version.
Chillingo’s festive feats come days after Rovio finally pushed out the so-called Christmas edition of Angry Birds. Now re-titled Angry Birds Seasons, the update also features 25 levels, which are released to players daily advent calendar-stylee.
