3 will push out the OS6 software update for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 in a matter of weeks’ time, it has been confirmed.
The carrier confirmed its plans to push out the revamped BlackBerry operating system to the handsets via an update on its Twitter feed.
Once it does arrive, it’s fair to say that we’re in for something of a treat. Along with faster web browsing and a multi-touch UI, including pinch to zoom – something that even the most committed BlackBerry fan will concede is long overdue.
We’re also finally getting tabs for flicking between windows as well as improved social networking experience to Research in Motion’s business focussed smarties, universal search and a super slick media player with album art and coverflow.
OS6 made its official debut last year on the acclaimed BlackBerry Torch.
