Details have surfaced of the much-rumoured social networking focussed handset being jointly produced by Facebook and INQ, as the phone maker looks to built on the success of its budget priced Mini and Chat handsets.

Speculation that the firms have been collaborating on a handset or handsets have been rife in tech circles for some time.

However, it’s only now that we’re getting any idea of what it might entail, after a Bluetooth certification doc for a phone that sounds very much like the fabled handset was discovered by PocketNow.com.

According to the certificate, we’re in for an Android powered bit of kit apparently dubbed the INQ Cloud Touch, that’s “designed around the way people naturally communicate and has Facebook built into its core”.

This equates to a homescreen with “multiple entry points to different Facebook functions”, plus a “dynamic widget displays a feed of status updates, albums, videos and photos”.

Other than that we’re in the dark. However, when financial news site Bloomberg first broke news of the collaboration, it claimed that we can look forward to two devices, one of which packs a QWERTY keyboard for fast text entry. A second handset is touchscreen-only and features a design not a million miles from Apple’s iPhone.

Flop. Only reasons the earlier INQ social networking phones did okay is because they offered something you couildn't get for cheap at the tine. Now all fone have FB apps and functionality. So why buy this one?
