Speculation is mounting that a Photo Booth app for iOS powered devices could be showcased along with the iPad 2 next month.
Rumours that the photography app is making its way from Apple’s OSX platform to its mobile gadgets stems from a freshly unearthed patent courtesy of the good people at Patently Apple.
The patent’s appearance ahead of the now nigh-on confirmed iPad 2 launch on March 2nd suggests that the app will make its debut on the same day. If that’s so, it’s almost certain that the second-gen Apple tablet will feature a front-facing camera to allow users to use Photo Booth.
Photo Booth on OS X enables would-be David Baileys to apply smart image effects to their snaps. The patent for the iOS version looks like it’ll enable you to add these just by shaking your tablet or smartphone.
Other features the filing hints at include the option to add audio and motion graphics into photos and videos.
