Sony Ericsson’s upcoming flagship smartie the Xperia Arc, AKA X12, will be available on Vodafone and 3, it has been confirmed.

Just last week we reported that the Arc would be offered by O2. Now both Vodafone and 3 have announced that they would also be offering the hotly awaited kit on a variety of contract options.

Punters looking to pick up the Arc with Big V are able to register their interest for the handset on the Vodafone website which will inform them when it’s in stock.

3, meanwhile, confirmed via its official blog that it would be offering the Arc with its ‘all-you-can-eat’ One Plan, which comes with unlimited data.

Neither 3 or Vodafone has declared an actual release date for the handset, though according to O2 and Play.com, it is expected to land in April.

The Xperia is a stunning bit of kit with ultra-slim dimensions of just 8.7mm thickness, thanks to its curvy design from which it derives its name. It houses a massive 4.2-inch ‘Reality display’ touchscreen that uses Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA technology and as per SE tradition, an 8.1-megapixel cam with LED flash, Exmor R sensor and HD video recording.

Sony Ericsson is due to hold a special event in London this month on the 16th – the same time as the Mobile World Congress, which is taking place in Barcelona. All eyes are on the London-based smartphone maker to unveil the first PlayStation-supported smartphone, the Xperia Play, or X11 as we are calling it.
