Fresh images of the HTC Pyramid have cropped up online, giving us our first proper look under the hood of the Android powered smartie.

Unearthed by the fellas over at XDA Developers, the interior and screen shots of the phone confirm it’ll pack a dual core 1.2Gz – putting in line with almost every other Android kit coming to market this year - plus 768MB of RAM.

Elsewhere, the Pyramid will reportedly pack a screen in the region of 4.3-inches, an eight megapixel snapper and the now-mandatory a secondary VGA camera for video calling.

It’ll also ship with the latest 2.3 version of Android 2.3, AKA Gingerbread, out of the box - contrary to reports of somewhat dubious provenance and veracity that it’d feature the tablet-optimised Honeycomb iteration of Google’s platform.

It’s as yet unconfirmed which markets the Pyramid is intended for. However, its absence from HTC’s handset line-up at this year’s Mobile World Congress suggests it’s unlikely to make it to the UK.
