HTC has renamed the upcoming Pyramid smartphone as the Sensation and will officially lift the lid on its latest Android contender next week, rumours suggest.
According to sources cited by Pocket-Lint, the Android 2.3 packing smartie will drop at the HTC press event taking place on April 12th.
Alas, the site’s insider chums weren’t able to give them a concrete release date or carriers and only disclosed that it'll and in the “coming months”.
The unnamed source stated: “I can clear up a couple of those questions for you. It WILL be coming to the UK, though I can't say to which network. And Pocket Lint you're spot on with the naming, as it will be launched in the UK as the ‘HTC Sensation’”.
Assuming the Sensation’s spec sheet remains the same as the much-leaked Pyramid, we can apparently look forward to a handset packing a display in the region of 4.3 inches and a dual core processor.
The Sensation is also expected to pack an eight megapixel rear mounted snapper and a secondary VGA camera for video calling.
