iKit owners dominate mobile web usage in the UK, figures from Comscore show, leaving Android powered devices trailing.

According to the market research company’s data, Apple’s range of iPhones accounts for just shy of 30 per cent of all UK mobile traffic. The iPad 1 and 2 are responsible for 21.3 per cent.

Somewhat surprisingly, Android phones make up 15 per cent of traffic on the mobile web in Blighty.

Perhaps much less surprisingly given how Android tablets have thus far failed to gain real market traction, slates powered by Google’s OS account for just 0.3 per cent.

In the US, however, it’s a different story altogether. Our Android phone-owning cousins over the Pond are way out in front of the iPhones in the mobile web traffic stakes, taking up a whopping 35.6 per cent. iPhones are still in second place, but with a relatively trifling 23.5 per cent.
