O2 has cut the cost of owning the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, with the latest of its you-snooze-you-lose, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it limited period offers.

Under the terms of the promotion, which runs until August 1st, O2 is offering the Arc for £21.50 per month over a two-year deal. That includes a free phone, plus 100 minutes call-time, 500 texts and 500MB of data per month.

Widely regarded as the pick of Sony Ericsson’s current crop of smartphones, the Arc packs the latest 2.3 version of Android out of the box and a beefy 1GHz Scorpion processor to keep everything running tickety-boo.

Available in a choice of blue or silver, the handset is also home to a 4.2-inch LCD Reality display, which features the same BRAVIA technology as Sony TVs.

And there’s an eight-megapixel camera with autofocus and HD video recording on board, too, as well as expandable memory of up to 32GB via microSD support and a suite of pre-installed Google apps.
