T-Mobile has cut the cost of owning an HTC Desire HD, as part of a limited-period promotion on smartphones.
Until July 31st, customers who sign up for a two-year contract at £25.54 will now get the Desire HD free. Factoring in the usual upfront fee for the phone and the £5 per month reduction from the previous price point, that’s a total of saving of £120.
The contract entitles takers to 600 any-network, any-time minutes and 500 text messages per month as well as unlimited mobile internet usage for surfing the web on 3G, streaming movies and downloading apps and games.

The follow-up to the all-conquering HTC Desire, the Desire HD comes equipped with a capacious 4.3-inch touchscreen, plus an eight megapixel camera with a dual LED flash and 720pHD recording.
HTC’s iPhone challenger also packs Android 2.3 out of the box with the company’s social networking-focussed Sense custom user interface over the top and pre-installed Google apps, such as Gmail and YouTube.
As with all Android phones, buyers also get to choose from tens of thousands of free and paid-for apps and games on offer at the Android Market.
