HTC Sensation users on Vodafone can update their phone’s software to the newest edition of Android now, the carrier has confirmed.
Available as an over the air download, the update to Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread is no-one’s idea of a major overhaul of the operating system. But it’s not to be sneezed at either.
According to Vodafone, it’ll at least address those pesky battery overheating problems by optimising processor load, as well as boost browsing speeds.

As is the case with pretty much all OS bumps, we’re also in line for numerous, but alas unspecified performance improvements that ought to make for a more satisfying smartphone experience.
Before starting the download, though, you’re advised to back up all your personal gen – just in case there’s a glitch somewhere along the way.
And, yes we know you know this, it’s also a good to use a wireless network too, lest you tear into your monthly 3G data allowance.
