O2 is offering the BlackBerry Bold 9900 for a reduced price, as part of an introductory offer for the all-new, BB7-toting, touch-and-type messaging mobile.
Until the 23rd of August, buyers will be able to get the handset free when they sign up for a two-year contract at £32 per month. After that date, the tariff, which includes 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of mobile data usage every month, reverts to the standard rate of £37 per month.
Unveiled along with new Torch branded models earlier this month at BlackBerry maker Research in Motion’s (RIM) “biggest launch ever”, the Bold 9900's standout specs take in a high performance physical QWERTY keyboard, a 2.8-inch touchscreen and a 1.2 Ghz processor.
It’s also home to a five megapixel camera and because it runs the latest BlackBerry operating system, aka BB7, offers “faster performance”, “richer multimedia” and browsing speeds some 40 per cent quicker compared with BlackBerrys powered by the company’s last-generation generation software.
And finally, users benefit from access to the commotion-causing BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) instant messaging service, too, as well as RIM’s airtight email security solution.
