Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S

Sony Ericsson’s revamped version of the Xperia Arc, the Xperia Arc S, will be go on sale in Blighty later this this month, it has been confirmed.

Online vendor Clove has announced that it will start selling the unlocked SIM free version of handset on September 26th for £349.99.

For that outlay, you’ll get a kit with a 1.4GHz processor - 25 per cent faster than the original Arc. This enables the camera application to load that much more rapidly and web pages to render 20 per cent quicker.

In addition, there’s also a new 3D sweep panorama mode that allows you to take widescreen images by sweeping the phone across the scene, which can then be viewed in glorious 3D on a compatible TV.

The rest of the device remains exactly the same as its predecessor. Standout features include a 4.2-inch screen with Sony’s Reality Display and Mobile BRAVIA Engine technology and an eight-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus and Exmor R sensor.

Customers can preorder the Arc S right now from Clove or wait for contract options to be announced in the coming weeks. As always, we’ll let you know as soon as we do.
