The latest BlackBerry Bold handset has landed on Orange, offering heavy messagers the chance to get on board with Research in Motion’s (RIM) all-new BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) and revamped BlackBerry 7 operating system.
The phone is free from £41 per month on Orange’s Dolphin tariff. That entitles you to a whopping 1,200 minutes, plus unlimited text messages and 250MB of mobile data per month.
If you’d rather pay an upfront charge and get a lower monthly outlay, you’re looking at a minimum of £36 per month and a one-off fee of £49.99. Allowances on this plan are 900 minutes, plus unlimited texts and 250Mb of mobile internet data per month.
Heading the charge of RIM's 2011 challengers, the Bold 9900 teams a 2.8-inch touchscreen with RIM’s trademark physical QWERTY keyboard and the Business Bold feature that enables users to keep personal and business information separate.
Buyers also get unfettered use of the improved BBM service, a powerful 1.2GHz processor to keep everything ticking over and a five megapixel camera with high definition 720p video recording.
