HTC Sensation XE coming to Three, Samsung Galaxy Note ruled out

Three is to add the HTC Sensation XE to its handset range in the wake of unexpectedly high consumer demand.

The XE has been a notable absentee from Three’s array of smartphones, with the carrier opting instead to carry its similarly Beats by Dre audio tech-toting cousin the Sensation XL.

But that’s soon about to change. A tweet from Three’s social media team has revealed that “based on your feedback” it will now be adding the Android powered, music-focussed kit to its range.

The news isn’t so good for would-be Samsung Galaxy Note buyers on the network, though. In response to a customer enquiry, the carrier claimed that Sammy's tablet-cum-smartphone hybrid's appeal was rather too niche for them to take it on.

The XE differs from its XL brethren principally in that the former packs a more compact 4.3-inch screen, while the latter features a 4.7-inch display that almost nudges it into tablet territory.

Elsewhere Three’s latest addition includes Android 2.3 out of the box, a free pair of uRBeats headphones and an eight megapixel camera.
