The Nokia Lumia 800 will be available on O2 on December 9th, after it initially appeared the carrier had scant interest in offering the Finns’ latest effort.

Back in October, reports coming out of O2 suggested it had no plans to range the Windows powered kit partly because it was overpriced and partly because the network was unhappy with Nokia’s commercial and promotional demands.

That stance appeared to soften somewhat not long after. Albeit only in select markets.

Today, though, a lasting entente appears to have been reached, with the news – courtesy of Recombu - that O2’s UK division will be offering the phone on contracts from next Friday.

Heralded as a new dawn for Nokia, the Lumia 800 features the familiar Windows tile-based user interface with some exclusive services to give it a unique Finnish spin. It’s also home to an eight megapixel camera, a 1.4GHz processor and 16GB of internal storage.
