Specs for what could be Sony Ericsson’s most advanced smartphone yet have leaked ahead of announcement, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the renascent phone-maker in 2012.
A Bluetooth certification page has been spotted for the hitherto unseen LT28at, revealing features sure to delight even the most reserved smartfans. These include a 4.55-inch 720p HD Reality display, LTE support for high-speed internet access and arguably the highlight of the show, a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash, plus a 720p HD front camera for video calls.
Also on board are dual microphones for noise cancellation and stereo recording, plus the usual connectivity options (think: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, et al).
The page also describes the handset as an ‘Xperia phone’ that pushes into ‘super phone’ territory. It’s not clear, however, whether it’s the same phone as the recently leaked Xperia Nyphon or rumoured Xperia Arc HD. Unfortunately its geographic location is listed as North America, and the fact that it is a 4G kit, means it’s not certain when, if at all, it will land in Blighty.
Still, we’re excited nonetheless at the prospect of a Sony Ericsson super phone and hopefully will hear about it very soon at next month’s CES 2012 expo.
