The latest iteration of Nokia’s Symbian operating system, Belle, will begin rolling out to handsets early next month, it has been revealed.
Nokia’s Vietnamese wing inadvertently confirmed the release date via a localised website that went live ahead of an official announcement. If it’s indeed the real deal, the following Symbian Anna handsets will be due for an upgrade to Belle on February 8th: Nokia N8, E7, X7, E6 and C6-01.
About two weeks ago, a Nokia customer rep accidentally revealed on Twitter the update would land this month, before retracting the statement and claiming it was a mistake.
Features the OS refresh brings to the platform include a revamped interface with simpler navigation options, six customizable home screens, re-jigged widgets, visual multitasking and more.
