Remember that sexy pink edition of the Samsung Galaxy S2 that launched in Korea a few months back? It’s coming soon to the UK.
High-street retailer Phones 4U has confirmed it will be ranging the rosy-hued version of Sammy’s best-selling kit next month – with a due date of Feb 13th – just in time for V’s Day, making it the perfect gift for your special someone.
The handset will be available free on O2 with a £21.50 two-year contract, which entitles takers to 200 minutes talk time, 3000 texts and 500MB of data and Wi-Fi.
Those looking to avoid a long-term commitment, however, can pick it up directly with online vendor Very.co.uk, which has listed the SIM free pink Galaxy S2 on pre-order for a none-too-exorbitant £449.99. Although a firm release date isn’t given, the product page states that orders placed now are expected to dispatch in seven days.
Aside from a new paintjob, everything else about the pink S2 remains exactly the same as black and white models.
Standout specs include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.2GHz dual core processor (with 1GB of RAM), an eight-megapixel snapper with 1080p HD video recording skills and 16GB of internal storage.
There’s also a front-facing two-megapixel webcam for video calls, and though it runs the slightly ageing Gingerbread release of Android out of the box, an upgrade to the tasty new Ice Cream Sandwich is expected in the next couple of months.
