Vodafone and T-Mobile have announced pricing for the New iPad, as the third-gen slate goes on sale in the UK today.
Vodafone is offering the entry-level 16GB edition of the device, which is still being informally dubbed the iPad 3, with 2GB of data per month from £27 per month, plus a one-off charge of £199.
The 24-month contract also includes 1GB BT Openzone Wi-Fi, with the option to add more data at £15 for each extra 1GB.
T-Mobile’s offering for the ‘resolutionary’ slate is broadly comparable. Consumers who opt to go with Orange’s partner network under the Everything Everywhere brand can pick up the 16GB iPad 3 from £25 per month and an upfront fee of £229.
This entitles takers to 1GB of anytime mobile web usage per month and a further 1GB of so-called 'quiet time' data to be used between midnight and 10am.
O2, which as those of you with longish memories will recall was the sole UK iPhone carrier for two years, has yet to confirm whether it is ranging the iPad.
Three and Orange both announced their contract price points for the slate earlier this week.
