Specs purportedly on board the Samsung Galaxy S3 have been leaked yet again, this time via an Android benchmarking application by AnTuTu.

Screenshots of the tests carried out what’s being claimed as the highly anticipated smartphone reveal several standout hardware features, such as a 12-megapixel camera, an Exynos 4212 1.4GHz processor, a 4.7-inch screen with a 720p resolution and 1GB of RAM.

It’s worth noting that Samsung has already confirmed the “Next Galaxy” device will feature an Exynos Quad 4 chipset, which, as the name suggests is a quad-core variety. Conversely, the 4212 is a dual-core number that’s rumoured to feature on the US version of the Galaxy S3.

TechRadar contacted AnTuTu to corroborate the authenticity of the screens, to which the benchmarking outfit responded: "What we got is not only scores, but information on smartphones, so we can surely say it is Samsung I9300."

We’re not exactly sure why Samsung would release two S3 models, which is likely to further worsen the already fragmented Android ecosystem, not to mention irritate lot of American smartfans.

Whatever the case, we’ll find out on May 3rd when the phone-maker takes the stage in London to officially announce the handset.
