Not that there was ever much doubt, a top-ranking Samsung official has now officially disclosed Galaxy S3 as the name of the company’s upcoming flagship smartie.
Speaking at the company’s Q1 earnings call, Samsung senior vice-president Robert Yi referred to the “Next Galaxy” as the Galaxy S3, shocking no one, but nonetheless adding fresh veneer of credence to recent slips of the phone's moniker on two Samsung applications.
Answering questions about the phone-maker’s expectations for the imminent launch’, Yi said: "We are anticipating very strong demand for Galaxy S3”.
Earlier in the meeting Yi said the handset will it the company’s "most successful smartphone ever”, which one can hardly contest considering the phone-maker just posted its most profitable quarter yet thanks to the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note.
With a staggering ten million pre-orders placed already, the Galaxy S3 is already on course to make it even bigger second quarter for the South Korean giant.
