More insiders have corroborated rumours that the iPhone 5 will drop in September, as evidence continues to mount that the next Apple smartphone is now a matter of weeks away.
According to sources cited by iMore, the handset will make its debut on September 12th along with the iPad Mini, in what would be a seismic day for Apple fanboys. The iPhone 5 will then hit retail nine days later on the 21st, the same tech deepthroats claim.

Alas, the all-seeing, all-knowing ones couldn’t tell us when the iPad Mini will go on sale. But it surely won’t be too long after if Apple is serious about challenging the Google Nexus 7 and capitalising on the burgeoning Christmas market for budget slates.
The latest release-date murmurings from the iSupply chain chime with months of rumours of a September debut for the phone. They also come hard on the heels of separate leaks earlier this week indicating that iPad Mini and iPhone 5 will be showcased simultaneously in a one-two punch next month.
Spec-sheet fixtures and fittings expected to be present on the iPhone 5 include a quad-core processor to bring the phone in line with its Android rivals, 4G network support and a larger four-inch screen.
