O2 is offering free music downloads with the Samsung Galaxy S3, as part of a time-limited promotion on Sammy’s latest blockbuster blower.
Under the terms of the promo, all customers who sign up for the Galaxy S3 on a monthly contract before August 17th get to download the entire official Top 40 as many times as they like.
As you might expect with such a new handset, the S3 isn’t yet available free on O2, with all tariffs carrying an upfront fee.
Perhaps the pick of the carrier’s deals by our reckoning, though, is £32 per month, with a £99 one-off charge. That includes a not unreasonable 500MB of data and 200 minutes every month, plus unlimited text messages and the 16GB model of the S3 in a choice of marble white or pebble blue.
Billed as the first-ever phone to be 'inspired by nature and designed for humans', the S3’s big selling points are its smart tweaks to the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system that powers it. Not least the Siri-challenging S-Voice app and the intelligent time-out feature dubbed SmartScreen.
The phone is also home to a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, an eight-megapixel camera and a secondary front-facing 1.9-megapixel snapper for video calls.
