Sony’s next flagship smartphone, the Xperia T, is coming soon to Orange, the network has confirmed.

A ‘coming soon’ page for the upcoming Android heavy-hitter is now live on the Orange website where interested parties can register to be notified when it’s available.

The handset features in the latest James Bond film, Skyfall (hitting cinemas on October 26th). Although the special movie tie-in edition, which comes pre-loaded with Skyfall content such as a 007 signature tune ringtone, themes, screensavers and images geo-tagged to the film’s locations, will be exclusive to O2. The handset itself will look just the same on both networks.

Celeb status aside, highlights of the Xperia T include a 4.55-inch HD Reality Display touchscreen, a dual-core 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 processor and a 13-megapixel snapper with a back-illuminated Exmor R sensor and 1080p HD video recording skills.

Also on board are an HDMI out, NFC support and 16GB on board storage (expandable by a further 64GB) – handy for any wannabe secret agent.

For spies on a budget, the less glamorous but still suave, Xperia J will be ranged by O2, Three and Carphone Warehouse.

This features a four-inch Reality Display, a 1GHz processor, a five-megapixel camera with LED flash (plus front-facing VGA) and 4GB internal storage expandable by 32GB via the microSD slot and 50GB of free Box.net cloud storage.

The white and pink colourways of the Xperia T will be exclusive to Carphone Warehouse.

Pricing has yet to be revealed, but we think you can expect to pay around £30-35 a month on contract over a two-year term to pick up the Xperia T for free.

The Xperia J, meanwhile, should be available free starting £15-20 a month.

The Xperia T will land on O2 later this month and Orange possibly early next month. No ETA yet on the Xperia J, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.
