Orange has cut the cost of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 for a limited period, as part of a flash sale on pay as you go smartphones.
For 48 hours from February 18th, the second iteration of the Ace will set you back £119.99 (plus a £10 top-up voucher) – down from £139.99 previously.
Billed as a smaller sibling of Samsung’s Galaxy S flagship phones and up for grabs in black or white, the Galaxy Ace 2 teams 3.8-inch 480 x 800 resolution display and a five megapixel camera with autofocus, smile detection and LED flash.
Also present and correct is 4GB of on board memory, with the option to boost this by up to 32GB by adding a microSD card, and an 800MHz dual-core processor.
The Ace 2 ships with the older Gingerbread iteration of Android out of the box. However, if rumours are to be believed, Samsung is making the newest Jelly Bean iteration of its software available for the handset, sweetening its appeal for the budget smartphone set and adding some very much not-to-be-sneezed-at new features.
