Virgin Media and Vodafone have revealed they’ll be on board for the Samsung Galaxy S4’s highly anticipated release in April.

Punters interested in picking up Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone can register their interest on the networks’ official websites to be informed when the handset comes into stock.

Pricing is still unknown, but Virgin Media has revealed to uSwitch Tech that Virgin broadband and TiVo customers who pick up the Galaxy S4 on its network will receive numerous extras, including £5 off their monthly tariff and inclusive insurance worth £7.99 a month and unlimited calls and texts to Virgin mobiles.

Graeme Oxby, Executive Director of Mobile & Home Phone at Virgin Media, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with the prospect of offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 – it’s an epic phone so we’ll be making some epic deals for our broadband and TiVo customers to match.

“The Galaxy S4 is far more then a bigger-screened, more powerful version of its predecessors, but has some genuinely head-turning features like eye scrolling technology which is why we’re urging smartphone fans to register online now so they don’t miss out when the Galaxy S4 hits the shelves.”

Showcased for the first time last night (officially at least) at a press call in New York, the Samsung Galaxy S4’s standout features include a stunning 4.99-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel camera and an eight-core Exynos processor that ought to mean it outperforms pretty much any smartphone currently out there.

The fourth-generation kit also comes with a host of new software additions and accessories to make it a device that Samsung describes as not just your smartphone, but also a “life companion”.

Chief among these is a built-in application called S Health that tracks your activities and workouts, daily intake, blood pressure and more to ensure you’re at the best health you can be.

Smart Scroll is a feature that enables you scroll web pages by simply tilting the device up or down, while Smart Pause tracks your eyes to pause videos when you’re not looking.

Aside from Vodafone and Virgin Media, EE and Three have also confirmed they’ll be ranging the Samsung Galaxy S4 when it goes on sale in late April.

Keep ‘em peeled as you bring you more releasing and pricing intel in the days ahead.
