Samsung’s latest, snappiest Galaxy S smartphone will soon be joined by a smaller, cheaper sibling - the Galaxy S4 mini, leaked snaps confirm.
Images of a more modestly priced and specc’d version of the soon-to-land Galaxy S4 have been obtained by the ever-watchful types at SamMobile, along with a list features that’ll purportedly be on board.
Highlights include a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display with a 256 ppi density, a 1.6GHz dual core CPU and the latest Android Jelly Bean (version 4.2.2) with Samsung’s all-new Nature UX 2.0 heaped on top.
It is thought that the mini’s processor might be based on ARM’s big.little architecture like its bigger brother by fusing two Cortex-A15 cores with two Cortex-A7 cores to ensure equilibrium of brawn versus energy-efficiency.
As far as looks are concerned, the S4 mini is virtually identical to the Galaxy S4, which arrives in our shores on April 26th. We expect the mini to follow in a few weeks, if not sooner.
Pre-orders for Galaxy S4 are expected to start this week. Naturally demand will be extremely high so we strongly recommend reserving your handset to avoid disappointment.
Of course, we’ll bring you more details on the Galaxy S4 mini as they become available. So stay sharp.
