Videos demonstrating the radical touch-free user interface and camera capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have surfaced online, ahead of the phone’s UK release next month.

Sourced by the well connected characters at SamMobile and starring a cast of charmingly drawn cartoon characters, the motion clip shows the S4's so-called floating UI in action, with owners previewing video and photos by hovering their finger over the screen.

The Camera video, meanwhile, shows-off the S4’s capacity to meld snaps taken with the front-facing and rear-mounted cameras and the facility to add audio to stills.

And rounding things off is a demo of the less celebrated Group Play feature, which enables S4 users to share content with friends and fam by connecting phones wirelessly and listen to the same music simultaneously.

Like them? We certainly do here at uSwitch Tech. In fact, we think that the clips in all their mute, lo-fi-ness do much a better job of ‘selling’ the Galaxy S4 to the public than the launch event in New York earlier this month. And judging by the piqued reaction that showcase got in some quarters of the internet, we think we’re probably not alone.
