Samsung has confirmed the exact date and time that smartfans in Blighty will be able to get their hands on the Galaxy S4.

The S-maker announced at its Galaxy S4 World Tour event in London that the hugely anticipated fourth-generation kit will be available in the UK from 10am on Saturday April 27th.

The handset is already available to pre-order on pay monthly tariffs (free from £35 a month) through all the major networks and retailers, some of which expect to deliver the handset a day earlier on April 26th.

Samsung also revealed that it has teamed up with EA Games to bring an fully optimised, exclusive version of Need for Speed Most Wanted to the Galaxy S4.

Better still, as a reward for adopting early, the first 100,000 Galaxy S4 owners will receive a free download of the game via Samsung Hub.

Aside from EA, Samsung has also partnered with Michelin, Random House Mondadori and GoodBeans to deliver free and exclusive applications and content for the S4.

Powered by Android Jelly Bean with Samsung’s latest Nature UX 2.0 on board, Galaxy S4 is home to a dizzying array of new features, including Smart Pause, which automatically pauses videos when you look away, and Air Wave that lets you scroll photos, web pages and whathaveyou by simply waving your hand over the screen.

In the hardware department, the S4 boasts a five-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a retina-popping 441 ppi density, a 1.9GHz quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera.

Demand is expected to be very high so we strongly advise placing your pre-order as early as possible.
