Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Mist official

Samsung has confirmed that it will update its Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 devices to Android Jelly Bean next month. The news was revealed at its Unpacked event in Berlin last night.

The Galaxy Note 2 is also in line for an update to the newest version of Google’s mobile platform, joining its successor, the newly unleashed Galaxy Note 3.

The S4 Android update will also come alongside new software which will help it play nice with Sammy’s new Galaxy Gear smart watch. The timepiece will not work with the S3, although Note 2 compatibility is planned.

Samsung will be hoping to avoid any issues with its Android 4.3 rollout. Google recently served up the software to Nexus devices and had to deliver a string of followup updates in order to fix a slew of bugs.
