Tesco Mobile has become the latest carrier to offer super fast 4G, with tariffs starting at £10 per month.

Tesco's cheapest SIM only plan offers 500MB of 4G data and 250 voice minutes per month, plus 5,000 texts, which means it’s one of the most competitive offerings around.

If you want a contract bundled with a handset, the cheapest contracts start at £17.50 per month and offer a choice of a free Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 or the Nokia Lumia 1020.

The plans’ real USP, though, and the reason they’re being dubbed Flexi-bendi contracts is that they allow customers to upgrade to 4G at any time for an additional £2.50 per month or switch to a download allowance that more closely meets their needs. Conversely, they’re also free to drop 4G and revert to 3G at any time too.

Simon Groves, Chief Marketing Officer of Tesco Mobile and Tesco Telecoms, said: “4G is amazing and will revolutionise the way we use our mobile phones so of course we want to make it accessible and easy for all our customers to try it and enjoy it.

“As Tesco Mobile launches 4G we’re bringing it to all our customers at a great value price and if it’s not for them, they can switch back to 3G or adjust their 4G data allowance to suit their needs whenever they like.

“It’s why we call it Flexi-bendi 4G and it's what makes our 4G offering the most customer centric in the market.”
