nokia lumia 1020 review 1

Top-end Nokia smartphones are getting a push from O2 over Christmas, with the launch of a promotion on Lumia kits.

Under the terms of a time-limited deal being given prominence in-store and online, O2 is offering a £20 voucher to spend on apps at the Windows Market with every Lumia 1020, Lumia 925 or their budget brother the Lumia 625 bought before January 15th.

O2's offer, which applies on both pay as you go and pay-monthly purchases, will also include the newly installed top-end Nokia phone, the Lumia 1520, when it arrives later this month.

The Lumia 1020, the 64GB variant of which is exclusive to O2 in the UK, features a 41-megapixel camera, thus unshackling Nokia’s PureView tech from the creaky Symbian OS that stymied the 808, and a 4.5-inch display.

The Lumia 1520's spec-sheet highlights take in a 20 megapixel Pureview camera, a 6-inch full HD display and wireless charging.

Standout features of the Lumia 925 and Lumia 625 are an 8.7-megapixel Smart Camera and a 4.7-inch screen respectively.
