Sony’s Xperia Z1 Compact, which was unveiled yesterday, has barely had a chance to impress the gathered tech fiends at CES in Las Vegas. But already rumours are emerging about the Japanese giant’s second 2014 flagship.

Codenamed Sirius, the smartie is believed to be scheduled for launch at next month’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. Word is it’ll pack a 5.2-inch display, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

No other details about the device have been revealed. But it does seem that after Sony showed its commitment to smaller devices with its 4.3-inch Z1 Compact, it’s still keen to develop larger phablet models too.

With all variants of the current Z1 range packing a 20.7 megapixel camera, hopefully we’ll see a further boost to the handset’s snapper. All will be revealed in Spain next month.
