HTC has released the first in a series of teaser trailers for its forthcoming update to the HTC One. The clip, which clearly takes inspiration from Apple’s Mac and PC ads, talks-up the handset's Boomsound tech, but also points to its official name.
The phone is referred to during the two-minute as segment as the ‘All New HTC One’. A mouthful, sure, but almost certainly the final name for a handset which has been codenamed M8 for longer than we care to remember.
The ad is marked #1, suggesting HTC is priming a number of these short clips in an attempt to build hype around the handset’s launch. That’s due to take place on March 25th at joint events in London and New York.
HTC will be hoping the ‘All New One’ can sell quickly. Its profits have been in the slide for two years and it had a torrid 2013. The new phone is believed to pack an improved ultra pixel camera, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.4 and improved Boomsound tech.
