The best image yet of HTC’s next flagship phone has leaked online, as would-be buyers mark time for the handset’s release in late March.
Sourced by @evleaks, who long ago annexed the world of device leaks and now runs it like his own fiefdom, the photo shows a rather handsome smartphone featuring what we’re guessing is the same aluminium unibody build as the HTC One.
Also in evidence is the cleaner, revamped version of HTC’s BlinkFeed homescreen, a fairly subtle gold colourway and what appears to be a dual, rear-facing camera or dual-tone LED flash.
The man behind the Twitter account Evan Nelson Blass also reveals that the phone won’t stick with its M8 working title or the oft-mooted HTC One-Two name and will instead to come to market as the ‘All-New HTC One”.
HTC yesterday all-but confirmed the phone will land in March at a special press event in London, presumably in a bid to avoid a clash at Mobile World Congress with Samsung’s forthcoming Galaxy S5.
Rumours suggest its spec sheet includes a five-inch, 1080p Full HD display, a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and the same UltraPixel rear camera as its predecessor.
