Health and fitness smarts are one of the Galaxy S5’s key selling points, courtesy of a suite of apps dubbed Health 3.0.

Under that banner is what we’re assured is a “first of its kind” heart-rate sensor that can be customised for each user. And there’s a pedometer and record-keeping tools for diet and exercise too.

We turned personal trainer to give the S5 a thorough work-out at this Mobile World Congress. Here are our initial impressions:
