iphone 6 leak mornray

Apple may only launch one of its two rumoured iPhone 6 models. That’s according to an analyst for UBS, who claims that his checks of the company's supply chain show Cupertino is erring towards the smaller, 4.7–inch model.

In a research note for investors, Steve Milunovich claims that the 4.7–inch iPhone 6 will land in either August or September. That, he suggests, is certain.

But the fate of the 5.5–inch model seems a little more murky. He reckons that Apple may hold fire on launching the larger iPhone 6, and that once it does, it’s likely to have the same resolution as the smaller model. That would aid developers and make games look equally smart on both devices.

Previous chatter has placed the iPhone 6 launch at some point in the autumn, with October seeming the most likely time frame.

Apple is expected to include a new HealthBook app, which will track vital signs in conjunction with its planned iWatch device.
